Kathi joined TCP's senior staff in 2010. As Director of Sacramento Governmental Affairs, she serves as TCP's link to government agencies. Kathleen brings extensive experience within state agencies and the Legislature, as well as an in-depth understanding of health policy. As the former Director of the California Department of Consumer Affairs, she oversaw regulation of medical professionals, and created consumer information and protection programs. Most recently she served as CalPERS Deputy Executive Officer, where she managed health benefit and health reform issues. Following a long staff career in the state Legislature, she returned to serve as Legislative Director for Assemblymember Dave Jones, now California's Insurance Commissioner. In Brown's administration, she was appointed Executive Director of the California Health Facilities Financing Authority.
