Ginny directs TCP’s HIT Initiatives for Vulnerable Youth, which seek to improve health, mental health and other outcomes for foster children through the effective use of electronic information exchange and coordination of services. Ginny has over 25 years of research and policy experience in California, focused primarily on underserved children, youth and families. Prior to joining TCP, she directed the California Homeless Youth Project at the California Research Bureau, where she also developed initiatives focused on children of incarcerated parents, foster youth, and youth in the juvenile justice system. She also served as Deputy Director for Health Policy, Legislation and External Affairs for the Managed Risk Medical Insurance Board (MRMIB), and spent five years as a Senior Fiscal and Policy Analyst with the Legislative Analyst’s Office analyzing public health and indigent care programs. Ginny’s experience also includes working with the Foundation Consortium, a collaborative of California-based philanthropic foundations focused on developing school-linked and integrated services for children, youth and families. She received her Bachelor of Science degree from Stanford University and has Masters degrees in Public Health and Public Policy from the University of California, Berkeley.
