California Children and Health Advocates Concerned Over Healthy Families Transition Start Date

In the attached letter to Secretary Diana Dooley of the California Health & Human Services Agency and members of the California Legislature, The Children's Partnership signs on as one of 20 leading health and children's organizations requesting a more reasonable date to begin the transition of children from the Healthy Families Program into Medi-Cal. "Based on extensive conversations with CHHS and DHCS, the state does not appear to be prepared for a January 1 start date," says Wendy Lazarus, Founder and Co-President.
