Wendy Lazarus has been quoted in several media outlets commenting on the budget shortfall in the Healthy Families Program, California's version of the Children's Health Insurance Program (CHIP), and efforts to fill the budget gap and restore health coverage to hundreds on thousands of children.
"These programs have always been viewed as transitional and they can't keep going without a solution," said Wendy Lazarus, co-president of the Children's Partnership, an advocacy group. "Unless something is done, we're going to slide backward."
