    The Children’s Partnership response to Senators Wyden and Grassley’s letter of July 12, 2014, requesting input on how to increase health care data transparency and enhance the availability and utility of health care data.

  • Comments on Modification and Revisions to the EHR "Meaningful Use" Incentive Program
    on July 14, 2014

    The Children's Partnership joined twenty-eight consumer organizations on submitted comments by Consumer Partnership for eHealth regarding Propsed Rule CMA-00520P/RIN 0938-AS30, Modifications to the Medicare and Medicaid EHR Incentive Programs for 2014; and Health Information Technology; Revised to the Certified EHR Technology Definition. 

  • Submitted Comments on Telehealth Promotion Act of 2014
    on May 02, 2014

    The Children's Partnership submitted comment to US House of Representatives Member Mike Thompson on the discussion draft of proposed legislation, "Telehealth Promotion Act of 2014," to promote and expand the application of telehealth under Medicare nad other Federal health care programs and for other purposes.

  • Submitted Comments on 2015 Edition EHR Standards and Certification Criteria Proposed Rules
    on April 28, 2014

    The Children's Partnership submitted comments regarding the establishmnet of a Children's EHR Format as recognized by the ONC in  the Notice of Proposed Rulemaking – RIN 0991-AB92 – Voluntary 2015 Edition Electronic Health Record(EHR) Certification Criteria; Interoperability Updates and Regulatory Improvements. In addition to signing on with the National Partnership for Women and Families and the Consumer Partnership for eHealth (CPeH) to largely support the rule, TCP has additionally submitted comments on elements with particular relevance to children.

  • Consumers Request an Important Revision to the Meaningful Use Deeming Option
    on August 23, 2013
    The Children's Partnership joined consumer and health advocates on a submitted letter to the Health IT Policy Committee Chair, Farzad Mostashari, and Vice Chair, Paul Tang, requesting revision of the Deeming Option and to not allow high performance on the listed measures to satisfy meaningful use of the five key patient-facing criteria.     on February 17, 2014

    Celebrating the 5 year anniversary of the HITECH Act, The Children's Partnership joined our partners at the Consumer Partnership for eHealth (CPeH) and over 2600 consumer activists to send a Valentine to President Obama, HHS Secretary Sebelius, and National Coordinator DeSalvo.

  • SB 1050 (Alquist) - Letter to the Governor
    on August 29, 2012
    The Children's Partnership urges Governor Brown to sign SB 1050, which establishes am Autism Telehealth Taskforce within the Department of Developmental Services (DSS).  Read more about the Taskforce in this letter .
  • The Children's Partnership Sponsors SB 1050
    on July 05, 2012

    The Children's Partnership submitted a letter to California State Senator Alquist as a sponsor of SB 1050, which establishes an Autism Telehealth Taskforce within the Department of Developmental Services (DSS).

    It requires DDS to identify a Lead Administrator that will be responsible for the activities and work of the Taskforce. The Taskforce will provide technical assistance to DSS in the area of telehealth services for individuals with ASDs. Further, it will provide recommendations for the implementation of at least one demonstration site project that promotes the use of telehealth and technology to assist and improve the delivery of services for children with ASDs.

    Beth Morrow webinar presentation for California Health Equality (CHeQ) on an innovative HIE project funded through CHeQ’s HIE Acceleration Awards. The Demonstration Project, Ventura County Foster Health Link, explored technology and policy issues and pushed HIE to new areas to meet care coordination needs and improve health for Californians, particularly those in foster care.

    Ginny Puddefoot presented at the state Health Information Exchange (HIE) Summit; highlighting the public/private collaborative effort led by TCP to develop a Strategic Plan to implement the state’s “Audacious Goal” to provide every child in foster care with a PHR within five years.
