HEALTH IT INTEROPERABILITY: Patient-Centered Interoperability Necessary for MACRA Success

The Consumer Partnership for eHealth (CPeH) has joined the many other healthcare associations which have contributed comments to ONC regarding interoperability measures under MACRA, saying that these measures should also include provisions to engage patients. The professional healthcare organizations who signed the letter is led by the National Association for Women & Families, and includes the AARP, American Association on Health and Disability, American Cancer Society Cancer Action Network, Asian & Pacific Islander American Health Forum, California Pan-Ethnic Health Network, Center for Medical Consumers, Consumers’ Checkbook/Center for the Study of Services, Consumers Union, Disability Rights Education and Defense Fund, Family Caregiver Advocacy, Healthwise, Informed Medical Decisions Foundation, and The Children’s Partnership.
