Parents
The Children's Partnership is committed to helping parents by giving
them tools and resources to help ensure their children lead safe,
healthy, productive lives. Read about our work on parent issues.
Internet Safety Tools
Since 1996, The Children's Partnership has helped parents guide their
children safely on the Internet. In conjunction with the National PTA
and the National Urban League, we published the Parents'
Guide to the Information Superhighway: Rules and Tools for Families
Online. In addition, to arm parents with knowledge on Internet
risks, and tips for addressing them, we produced A
Parent's Guide to Online Kids presentation.
Children's Health Insurance
In California The Children's Partnership has undertaken efforts to
educate parents on the availability of public health insurance programs.
Activities have included providing community organizations with brochures they
need to publicize the health programs. In addition, we worked with
school districts to advertise the ability of parents to enroll their
child into health coverage through the school lunch program. For more
information see www.expresslaneinfo.org/ELE/CA.
