E-Enrollment helps state Medicaid and SCHIP programs:

• Design strategies that cross agency boundaries and allow for greater coordination and collaboration by programs serving low-income children;
• Reach and enroll eligible but uninsured children more efficiently and effectively;
• Use the data families have already provided to the government to make an eligibility or renewal determination (known as "Express Lane Eligibility"); and
• Make the programs more efficient and accountable to the taxpayer.
